The aim of this site is to keep alive the memory of Brice Taton, a young man aged 28 who was maliciously murdered by a gang of hooligans in Belgrade, September 2009. Also, it will allow from the outset, the possibility to collect funds in order to support Brice's parents who will take on, in his name, all the judicial and administrative aspects of this case. Our fight | | Our fight:
On the morning of Tuesday 29th September 2009, Brice died from the injuries caused by being savagely attacked by a gang of hooligans in Belgrade. For many days he fought off death with his parents at his side.
This pointless and unspeakable aggression, this brutal savagery, must be dealt with in the most severe way possible. Brice's parents will do everything they can to attain compensation in name of their son, and in order to do so, will call upon the best lawyers in Belgrade.
To confront the high expenditures of the legal procedures that lay ahead, which are expected to last some time, and allow Brice's parents to go about their legal battle, a support committee has come about to be a necessity in order to collect as many funds as possible.
Brice's tragedy is a symbol within itself; A symbol of indiscriminate violence surrounding sport. It is our hope that the judge's decision and the immense emotion evoked by this death be factors in putting an end to this indisputable misfortune.
At a time when Serbia aspires to be in the European Union, we are convinced that the Serbian justice system will show itself to be exemplary in its inflexibility and prove to the rest of the world that as a great country, it is truly a state of rights and where crime is punished as it should be. |
